Marco Rubio gives Trump advice before the debate

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) shared his thoughts Tuesday night when asked what former President Donald Trump should emphasize during his upcoming debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

In response to the speech by The Epoch Times According to reporter Arjun Singh, Senator Rubio said former President Trump must remind Americans “how much better our country was during the four years he was in office.”

“Even in the midst of a pandemic, our economy was stronger, our people were safer, and the world – our enemies respected us more,” said Senator Rubio. “We were more feared and respected and safer in the world. And that contrast is key.”

Senator Rubio was one of former President Trump’s main talking points during the 2016 Republican primaries. Trump referred to Senator Rubio as “Little Marco” during the campaign and used that nickname during one of the primary debates against Senator Rubio.

Tuesday night’s debate will be the first between former President Trump and Vice President Harris, who replaced President Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket in late July. The nomination switch was sparked by a disastrous debate performance by President Biden.

All four major television networks will broadcast Tuesday night’s debate, which will be presented by ABC News and moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis.
