Man and woman let dog loose on dollar store employee in attack in New Castle: police

Frightening moments outside a Dollar General following an attack this past weekend involving two suspects, an innocent employee, two teenagers and a dog.

According to police, 23-year-old Matthew Perez and 27-year-old Veronica Coleman became aggressive after being escorted out of the Dollar General at 1403 Dupont Parkway.

The duo, who had been banned from the premises for shoplifting, then began to threaten an employee.

When the employee tried to leave, police said Perez chased him on foot while Coleman followed in a vehicle.

The suspect then released a dog from the vehicle, which began to attack the employee.
