The film adaptation of Enid Blyton’s classic children’s book “The Magic Tree” is turning into a star-studded affair.

Rebecca Ferguson has just been confirmed for the cast, which is led by Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy from “The Crown” as Tim and Polly Thompson.

Ferguson, best known for her roles in Apple TV+’s “Dune” and “Silo,” as well as starring alongside Tom Cruise in the “Mission Impossible” series, will play the evil headmistress in the story.

Of Ferguson’s addition to the cast, director Ben Gregor said: “Rebecca has a commanding screen presence, is one of the finest actresses of her generation and will be an electrifying addition to our film.”

Ferguson is the latest big name to be attached to the project, which includes a host of talent alongside Garfield and Foy.

Jessica Gunning from “Baby Reindeer” was cast in the role of Dame Washalot earlier this summer.

Nicola Coughlan (“Bridgerton”) also stars as forest fairy Silky, while Nonso Anozie (“Sweet Tooth”) and Dustin Demri-Burns (“Slow Horses”) will play Moonface and Saucepan Man.

Sir Lenny Henry (“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”), Michael Palin (“The Death of Stalin”) and Simon Russell Beale (“House of the Dragon”) also appear as a trio of mystical sages from the land of the know-it-alls. Mark Heap (“Renegade Nell”) and Oliver Chris (“My Lady Jane”) complete the cast.
