A massive rift in former President Donald Trump’s inner circle broke openly on Wednesday evening, This reveals the high tensions within the MAGA world after their candidate’s debate disaster.
Two of Trump’s closest allies got into a spectacular and public dispute after it emerged that far-right commentator Laura Loomer had accompanied Trump to the debate on a private plane.
Axios reported Thursday that Loomer “prodded” him during the flight after his other advisers urged caution and tried to persuade Trump to focus on core voter issues like the economy rather than reiterating old grievances and spreading easily disproven conspiracy theories like Haitian immigrants eating other people’s pets.
Trump seemed to take Loomer’s advice, delivering a fiasco marred by one confused tirade after another. A day later, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene decided to seize on a three-day-old post from Loomer and ignite a civil war.
Greene sharply criticized Loomer on X for an “extremely racist” message she posted about Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the Sept. 8 tweet, which quoted a post by Harris boasting about her South Asian heritage, Loomer wrote that if the vice president wins the election, “the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be delivered through a call center and the American people will only be able to provide feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.”
Three days later, the day after the debate, Loomer – a 9/11 conspiracy theorist – accompanied Trump to Wednesday’s memorial ceremonies in New York City and Pennsylvania.
Greene, who had previously used homophobic and racist slurs and claimed that being called a “white supremacist” was akin to calling a black person the N-word, decided that it Finally the moment to denounce discrimination.
“This is horrific and extremely racist,” she said Wednesday, quoting Loomer’s post on X. “This does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This behavior should never be tolerated.”
Greene asked Loomer to remove the bigoted post.
The combative Loomer responded with a series of broadsides, accusing the “angry anti-Semite” Greene of disloyalty and “acting like a leftist” for attacking her over an alleged joke. (Incidentally, Greene has long flirted with anti-Semitic stereotypes, voting against an anti-Semitism education bill in Congress because she claimed it “could convict Christians of anti-Semitism for believing the gospel that Jesus was handed over to Herod to be crucified by the Jews.”)
“Laura and I have been friends since 2018,” Greene replied. “I have always defended and supported her.”

She said Loomer, who has run unsuccessfully for Congress in Florida several times, was bitter because she rejected campaign advice from Greene that helped her win.
The two staunch MAGA figures left their feud unresolved.
Loomer, a known Islamophobe who released a video last year claiming the Sept. 11 attacks were an “inside job,” told the Associated Press she had been invited to attend the memorial ceremonies with Trump “as a guest.”
Not everyone in Trump’s world agreed with the guest list.
