Macklemore sings anti-American chant at benefit concert in Seattle for Palestinian refugees

Macklemore chanted “F*** America” on Saturday while performing at a charity festival in Seattle to benefit Palestinian refugees.

The 41-year-old Seattle native took the stage at the “Palestine Will Live Forever” festival in support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees and urged people to “just” join in the chant, according to a TMZ article on Sunday.

The rapper assured the audience that he would not stop them in this case either and then said “F*** America”, whereupon the audience erupted in cheers.

Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, has been highly critical of US foreign policy in light of the escalating war between Israel and Hamas.
