CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference has released its schedule for the 2024-25 women’s basketball tournament, the league announced on Wednesday, August 14. The schedule includes 18 intra-league matches, including nine away games and nine games at the Convocation Center.
“We are excited to be part of another competitive season of MAC basketball. It is a great conference,” said head coach Robert Boldon said. “The team and staff are looking forward to this season and the start of conference play in January.”
The Bobcats will start the year in the Convo with their conference opener against Akron on Wednesday, January 1. Ohio then heads straight to a game against Northern Illinois on Saturday, January 4. The team will stay on the road as it travels to Western Michigan for a game on Wednesday, January 8.
Ohio returns to Athens for two home games, Saturday, Jan. 11 against Kent State and Wednesday, Jan. 15 against Bowling Green. The Bobcats will then hit the road for two games at Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 18 and Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Ohio will close out January with two home games at Convo. The team hosts Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Ball State on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
The Bobcats will open February with two conference road games. Ohio will play its first game of the Battle of the Bricks at Miami on Saturday, February 1. The team will then head to Central Michigan for a game on Wednesday, February 5. Conference play will be briefly interrupted by the second MAC-SBC Challenge road game on February 8.
Ohio resumes league play with two home games against Buffalo on Saturday, January 15th and Northern Illinois on Wednesday, February 19th. The end of February includes two away games at Akron on Saturday, February 22nd and Bowling Green on Wednesday, February 26th.
The Bobcats will play three conference games as the regular season concludes in March. Ohio and Miami will face off in the Battle of the Bricks finale on Saturday, March 1. The Bobcats will play their final home game of the season on Wednesday, March 5 against Western Michigan. Ohio will close out its regular season with a road game at Ball State on Saturday, March 8.
Season tickets for the Ohio women’s basketball team are now on sale. For the first time, courtside and reserved seats are available for all home games.
