LaKeith Stanfield is part of the cast of Lynne Ramsay’s Die, my love.

“Die, My Love” is a new film directed and co-written by Ramsay and stars Jennifer Lawrence (“The Hunger Games,” “Causeway”) and Robert Pattinson (“The Batman,” “The Lighthouse”).

According to Deadline, Stanfield has now joined the cast of the film. It is not yet clear who he will play.

“Set in a remote, forgotten rural area, the story follows a mother trying to maintain her sanity while battling psychosis,” Deadline’s plot description reads. Further details are currently under wraps.

Ramsay co-wrote the screenplay with Enda Walsh. Lawrence is producing the film along with Martin Scorsese, Justine Ciarrochi, Andrea Calderwood and Black Label Media, who are also financing the film.

Stanfield was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards for his portrayal of Bill O’Neal in “Judas and the Black Messiah” (2021), directed by Shaka King. He has also appeared in films such as “Short Term 12” (2013), “Selma” (2014), “Straight Outta Compton” (2015), “Get Out” (2017), “Sorry to Bother You” (2018), “Uncut Gems” (2019), “Knives Out” (2019), “The Harder They Fall” (2021), “Haunted Mansion” (2023), and “The Book of Clarence” (2023).

Having also starred in the television series Atlanta and The Changeling, Stanfield will soon be seen in Shane Black’s next film Play Dirty, which also stars Mark Wahlberg and Rosa Salazar.

Ramsay’s first feature film as a director was “Ratcatcher” in 1999. In 2002, she then made “Morvern Callar” before making “We Need to Talk About Kevin” in 2011. “You Were Never Really Here” followed in 2017, with Joaquin Phoenix as director.

A release date for “Die, My Love” has not yet been announced.
