Lumen5 Releases AI-Powered Voiceover Technology for Content Marketers Across Canada

Many of us who work with artificial intelligence use the technology primarily in two ways: text and images (and increasingly video, as quality improves).

One area of ​​AI that is somewhat niche for most – but is already surprisingly powerful – is language.

AI-generated voices are now so advanced that famous artists like Drake and Taylor Swift can convincingly mimic their sonic likeness through a completely fictional song (much to their chagrin). And the technology is constantly improving.

While artists lament the development of AI voices, the technology is proving to be a boon for content marketing at scale.

“AI voiceovers not only improve the quality of your videos, but also ensure a consistent brand identity,” writes Madelaine Quon, content marketing manager at Vancouver-based Lumen5. “Whether for training videos, content and social media, or product announcement videos, AI voices have become an indispensable tool for creating engaging and professional video content.”

“Gone are the days when you had to record your own voice for every video commentary,” explains marketing coordinator Kat Ingraham.

Lumen5 offers over 40 AI voices in different tones, styles and accents. Custom voices are also possible.

“(Voiceovers) are the perfect low-effort, high-reward solution in the world of video marketing,” Ingraham says.

If a user wants to change an AI voice in the middle of a project, “we automatically re-sync all scenes to match the new voiceover,” a feature Lumen5 says is unique to the platform.

Voiceovers can also be translated into other languages, and the timing can even be adjusted to match the scenes to keep the commentary and content in sync.

“Lumen5’s AI Voiceover feature provides an efficient and streamlined way to produce high-quality videos with personalized voiceovers,” says Quon. “Voiceovers play a critical role in engaging audiences and strengthening brand identity, making them an invaluable tool for corporate teams.”

The product was recently released from beta.
