Luke Bryan’s tour truck gets stuck under a bridge in Chicago

Life on tour is no walk in the park for a major country superstar. Singers encounter all sorts of pesky problems. There can be bad weather that delays flights, illnesses that force cancellations, the rigors of moving from place to place and living in hotels, plus overzealous fans and media. But Luke Bryan’s tour recently ran into quite the obstacle when a semi-truck carrying equipment for his The spirit of a country boy Tour got stuck under a bridge in Chicago. Oops!

What on earth happened to Luke Bryan’s tour in the fabled Windy City? He is one of our favorite country music stars and American Idol Judge, let’s look at it!

What an annoyance for Luke Bryan, other drivers and Chicago

A crossbeam under the bridge prevented the truck from moving

Per www.countryrebel.com“On Saturday, August 24, (Bryan’s) show, scheduled for the following day at Wrigley Field, was jeopardized when a semi-trailer carrying equipment for the show became stuck under an overpass in Chicago. Apparently the truck was traveling on Lake Shore Drive, the highway through the city, when the roof of the trailer collided with a crossbeam on the underside of the bridge, preventing the truck from moving forward.”

It was quite obvious who the truck was intended for

Luke Bryan could not remain anonymous in this situation. The huge stuck truck bore prominent “Jockey Outdoors” lettering and “Bryan’s picture and name.”

It turns out that large vehicles like the truck are prohibited on Lake Shore Drive. Despite posted warnings, incidents like this still reportedly occur.

The truck “remained where it was for several hours. No injuries were reported and Luke Bryan was not present when the collision occurred.”

Another problem has occurred

Luke Bryan was sick, but he continued with the concert

Luke Bryan is such a generous musician! He was battling bronchitis at his concert on August 25, the day after the truck incident. He still went on stage, although he reportedly had difficulty singing due to his illness. Bryan even had his opening acts come over to help.

A loyal fan at X appreciated Bryan’s extra effort despite feeling uncomfortable. “@lukebryan is any person who had a big presentation but ended up sick as a dog, knew they should cancel but took it and showed up anyway to get the job done. He told the truth, leaned on his headliners, changed his playlist and did not disappoint tonight at #WrigleyField.”

You’re the best, Luke Bryan! No wonder you’re at the top of the country music scene!
