A semi-trailer truck apparently belonging to country singer Luke Bryan became stuck under a bridge in downtown Chicago on Saturday, August 24.
Bryan, 48, will be inducted into the Chicago stadium on Sunday, August 25, at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The Spirit of a Country Boy – TourBut on Saturday morning, a passerby took photos of the truck under a bridge at the intersection of Irving and DuSable Lake Shore Drive and later posted the images on Reddit.
Interestingly, this is not the first time one of Bryan’s trucks has caused problems during a tour.
In 2017, one of his trucks crashed into an overpass on a Long Island Parkway after a performance at the Jones Beach Theater. According to the Related PressNo injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
At the time of this writing, Bryan had not yet commented on the Chicago truck incident.
Earlier this year, Bryan made headlines with his performances in which he fell on stage several times. This sparked rumors that Bryan had been drinking before the performance. In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!Bryan, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, attributed the falls to his height.
“I’m up there trying to replicate Michael Jackson’s moves on too big a scale, and if you bring water on stage and wear slick cowboy boots, you go down hard,” Bryan said. “It’s not alcohol, fans. People assume – you can’t just drink a bottle of vodka and do a two-hour show.”
Bryan is expected to return to American Idol for the upcoming 23rd season as a judge, alongside Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood, the latter will replace idol Judge Katy Perry. In an interview with Seattle radio host Gabe Mercer, Bryan suggested that Underwood “see her therapist” before production on the season begins.
“If she has a therapist, she’s probably having to work twice as hard to deal with me and Lionel,” Bryan said.
