British star of “Love Is Blind”, Tom Stroud, revealed on the show why his mother missed his wedding.
Tom is currently engaged to Maria and is covering the first season of the dating show, which airs in the UK and was released on Netflix earlier this month.
While doing a question-and-answer session on his Instagram stories on Friday (August 16), Tom was asked about his mother’s absence from his upcoming wedding.
The star then explained that his mother was a “very private person” and did not want to be shown on television.

“My mom is my rock and I would have loved to show people how amazing she is, but she is a very private person and had absolutely no desire to appear on television in front of millions of people,” he wrote.
“However, she and Maria spent the day together in London and they were like two peas in a pod and had a lot in common.”
Tom and Maria quickly bonded in the pods after sharing stories about their families. Tom revealed how his relationships changed due to his father leaving him when he was younger, and Maria spoke emotionally about losing her father during the COVID pandemic.
Although Tom also developed a strong bond with Tash, he ultimately decided to propose to Maria. When they met, the two were incredibly happy with their decision.

Earlier this week, Maria explained in her Instagram stories whether she would change anything since her time on the show.
“I try to imagine that everything happens as it is supposed to and that my trip would be the same if I had to do it again,” she said.
“The only thing I can say is that I would have tried to enjoy it a little bit more. I got a little stagnant over time and got too caught up in my own thoughts. So I would have tried to enjoy it a little bit more. Get out of my own thoughts a little bit more.”
