Lonsdale Capital Partners has announced the sale of Infrata to dss+, a global operations management consulting firm backed by Inflexion.

The deal represents 3.2 times the capital employed and an internal rate of return of 81 percent for Lonsdale following its investment in Infrata in April 2022.

Headquartered in London, Infrata provides technical, commercial, demand and ESG advisory services to financial lenders and sponsors across the lifecycle of an infrastructure investment. The company operates across multiple sectors including aviation, roads, railways, ports and waterways, and social infrastructure.

Since acquiring Infrata in 2022, Lonsdale has diversified its geographic presence, including into North America and Europe, as well as the sectors it focuses on, including aviation, ports and rail. Infrata also completed the acquisition of Altitude Aviation Advisory, a specialist aviation consultancy, in June 2023.

“Since our investment in Infrata in 2022, the company has achieved an impressive level of growth and strategic change, in line with the objectives we agreed with management,” said David Gasparro, partner at Lonsdale, in a statement. “Infrata has successfully expanded its geographic and sector mix, further underscoring its position as a truly independent global leader, while expanding its service offering into complementary areas such as ESG.”

Inflexion agreed in February to buy a majority stake in dss+ from Gyrus Capital.

Lonsdale Capital Partners is a private equity firm focused on the UK lower middle market.

Inflexion, based in London, is a mid-sized private equity firm.
