WILLMAR — Construction on Kandiyohi County Road 7 will begin Thursday. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes between Minnesota Highway 40 and U.S. Highway 12 for the next three months, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Public Works Department.
County Road 7 will be closed to through traffic and only local traffic will be allowed, the release said. A detour will be set up via US Highway 12, Kandiyohi County Road 1 and Minnesota Highway 40.
The construction project is expected to be completed in early November and Kandiyohi County Road 7 will then be reopened.

Our newsroom occasionally reports under the name “West Central Tribune Staff Report.” The name “West Central Tribune Staff Report” is often used when rewriting basic news briefs from official sources, such as a city news release about a road closure that requires little or no reporting. Sometimes this name is used when a news story has multiple authors or when the story consists of summarizing previously reported news from various sources. When outside sources are used, this is noted in the story.
