Residents of the Township of Elkton and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to receive free dental services at Dental Care of Elkton on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

Dr. Aaron Haley, Dr. Sophia Safford and the dedicated team at Dental Care of Elkton are proud to participate in Free Dentistry Day, a national initiative that provides much-needed dental services to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.

“We know that many people in our community and across the country have not been to the dentist in a long time,” says Dr. Haley. “Some may not understand the importance of oral health, but often the financial barrier prevents them from getting the care they need.”

Dental exams can detect serious health problems such as diabetes, oral cancer, and even heart disease. Studies also show that inadequate dental care increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, some cancers, and respiratory infections. Regular dental exams allow dentists to detect these conditions early and potentially prevent them from getting worse.

“Oral health is a cornerstone of overall well-being,” emphasizes Dr. Safford. “With Free Dentistry Day, we want to educate patients about the importance of oral health and empower them to establish a regular dental care routine.”

Free Dentist Day at Dental Care of Elkton is offering a free teeth cleaning, filling or extraction on Saturday, September 7th at 1189 E. Pulaski Hwy. in Elkton, MD. Insurance is not required.
