Nebraska’s 7-0 run coupled with six blocks in the third set gave the team a 2-1 lead.

Setter Bergen Reilly used her midrange shots to give the Huskers a few more kills, but they still trail Kentucky in total kills, 40-34.

Kentucky takes a timeout in the third set after committing 13 service errors, compared to just five for Nebraska. The Wildcats trail Nebraska 10-6 at the start of the set.

Not even a 23-23 score could scare Skinner. The Kentucky head coach took his second charge and won it to give his team a set point. That momentum helped the Wildcats secure their first set win of the match.

Nebraska led by as many as five points in the second set and despite some service errors by Kentucky, the Cats managed a 1-1 draw.

Kentucky now has a better batting average than the Huskers (.244 to .197).

Kentucky head coach Craig Skinner questioned whether the ball fell in front of Nebraska libero Lexi Rodriguez. After he got ready for a pancake dive, the replay ruled in favor of Rodriguez and the Huskers.

Rodriguez has collected a total of six digs so far.

Kentucky stayed close and tied the Huskers five times in the first set alone.
