Head coach James Franklin’s team is a six-touchdown favorite against the Golden Flashes. As we saw two weeks ago when the Lions had a scare against Bowling GreenThere are no gimmies in college football. But that’s as close as you can get: Several media polls rank Kent State as the worst team in college football and head coach Kenni Burns’ team is looking to bounce back from a 71-0 defeat at Tennessee last weekend.

“This is a complete football team,” Burns said this week. “And to go against West Virginia in the first game and win as convincingly as they did, and do what they did against BG, who I think is a really, really good football team — we’ve got our hands full. We’ve got to play clean, (and) we’ve got to take it play by play. We’ve just got to get better and take care of ourselves and see if we have a chance in the fourth quarter. But we’re going to have a very tough challenge again, going against another top-10 team that’s also experienced.”
