The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are in full swing. Artists such as Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter will be guests at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. The show, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, will feature Eminem, Shawn Mendes, Benson Boone, Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J, Camila Cabello, Halsey and many more.
Swift leads the nominations with 12 nominations, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year for “Fortnight.” Post Malone follows with 11 nominations, while Ariana Grande, Carpenter and Megan each have seven nominations. SZA, meanwhile, has six and LISA, Teddy Swims and Olivia Rodrigo each have four. In addition to performances and awards, Katy Perry will be honored with the MTV Video Vanguard Award for performing a medley of her hits.
Swift was first to take home wins at the precast awards, taking home Song of the Summer and Best Collaboration for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. Katy Perry received the VMA award for Most Iconic Performance for her performance at the 2013 show, while Benson Boone took home the Moonman for Best Alternative for “Beautiful Things.” Megan Thee Stallion scored Best Trending Video for “Mamushi” featuring Yuki Chiba.
