Tomorrow, Friday, September 6, the band will join longtime friend and Apple Music host Zane Lowe for an in-depth, candid conversation about Linkin Park’s incredible legacy, the 7-year journey to new music, and their excitement for the future. Without expectations, Shinoda, Delson, FarrellAnd Faucet have quietly reunited in recent years. Rather than “trying to restart the band,” their instinct was to simply spend more time together and rediscover the creativity and camaraderie that had been at the core of their friendship since college. During this time, they invited various friends and colleagues to join them in the studio; among the guests, they discovered a special bond with Armstong and Brittain. A natural chemistry drew these musicians back in as they spent more and more hours in the studio. It was the sound of lifelong musicians rediscovering the irrepressible energy of a new beginning. This season FROM ZERO was born.
About the new era, Shinoda specified, “Before LINKIN-PARKour first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both that humble beginning and the journey we are currently taking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about the past, present and future – it contains our signature sound, but is new and full of life. It was created with deep appreciation for our new and long-standing bandmates, our friends, our family and our fans. We are proud of what LINKIN-PARK has become over the years and am excited about the journey ahead.”
Right at the beginning: “The Machine of Emptiness” channels the DNA of LINKIN-PARKthat harnesses the band’s explosive energy and maintains the trademarks of their instantly recognizable and inimitable sound. A chameleon-like and catchy anthem, Shinoda’s hypnotic melodies segue into Armstrong’s fiery chorus, distorted riffs and head-nodding drums.
Shinoda elaborated, “The more we Emily And Colinthe more we have enjoyed their world-class talents, their company and the things we have created.
