Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke with podcaster Lex Fridman in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday afternoon.
Fridman, an MIT researcher, posted a picture of Trump saying, “This happened,” on X Sunday, announcing the podcast’s release on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Lex Fridman Podcast is advertised as “conversations about the nature of intelligence, consciousness, love and power.” Fridman also hosted other right-wing guests on the show, including Jared Kushner, Benjamin Netanyahu and Tucker Carlson, according to Vulture.
The Trump team confirmed the appearance to USA TODAY.
Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign is relying on content creators and influencers to reach voters online, and the same is true for Trump, who has spoken to internet personalities on various unique streaming platforms.

Donald Trump appears on X, Kick Stream and Podcasts
In August, Trump spoke to a number of male internet personalities about internet streaming services.
In early August, Trump appeared on video game streamer Adin Ross’s livestream on Kick after being banned from Twitch in February 2023. During the interview, Trump was given a Rolex watch and a Cybertruck wrapped in a photo of the July 13 assassination attempt.
Shortly thereafter, Trump spoke in a live interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on X, which encountered some technical difficulties at the beginning.
Trump recently appeared on his podcast with actor, comedian and former reality TV star Theo Von, where they discussed, among other things, the host’s drug and alcohol use.
