Well, I think for her the England style is a symbol of her old life and the old Susan. She traveled to Greece full of optimism about the relationship and the hotel they will run. But it’s almost like she’s trying to fit into a world that she doesn’t actually feel comfortable in. Of course Greece is beautiful and every day you wake up to this beautiful sparkling sea, the sun is shining and you can eat amazing Greek food. But you can’t put that on a band-aid and just say, “Well, because I have all these things, and there are people who pay a lot of money to go on vacation and have two weeks off every year, right?” “ “Aren’t I lucky that I can have this 365 days a year now?” Of course, objectively speaking, it’s nice, but it’s not her life and ultimately it’s not what drives her.

There’s a really lovely moment when she returns to the UK and gets her car out of the garage. And it starts the first time, and it’s just the sound of that beautiful MG engine – it’s exciting for her because it represents everything that is Susan, her independence, the love of her job even when she’s not necessarily in it is speaking, doing their job; She’s back to investigate a murder that someone believes is partly related to the book she published. So she’s back there for a whole bunch of complex and quite unpleasant and slightly frightening reasons, but she can put on her leather jacket and a bit of red lipstick and not have to wear the kind of loose clothes that she wears in Greece to stay cool. She can actually be the innovative Susan that she is.

We created her as a woman who unashamedly enjoys her wardrobe… And I love the fact that a woman can be brilliant, intelligent, lively, thoughtful and provoke all kinds of conversations Also Be very interested in their personal style, which can often be seen as something very minor in a person. Isn’t it a bit moody to only be interested in your clothes? But personally, like Lesley, I don’t think that’s the case. I love clothes and I don’t think they take away from my personal integrity or intelligence. And I think Susan feels the same way.
