‘LEAVE IMMEDIATELY’: Sheriff’s office orders evacuation for Canby due to wildfire

Due to a wildfire, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office ordered a Level 3 (Leave Immediately!) evacuation for Canby early Friday morning.

The evacuation order applies to the area from 99E to Reflection Lane, west to milepost 16 on Highway 99E and south to South End Road.

There is also a Level 2 (Be set) evacuation order in effect for the east side of S. Southend Rd from 99E to Reflection Lane and the west side of S. Southend Rd from Reflection Lane to Beutel Rd, west to 99E at approximately mile 15.5 and south to mile 16.

A Level 1 (Prepare Yourself) evacuation order for the west side of S. Southend Rd to S. Rose Rd, the south side of S. Rose Road from Southend to 18776 Hwy 99E, south to mile post 15.5, and north of S. Beutel Road.

99E northbound is CLOSED between S. Haines Rd and Canema Bluff between Oregon City and Canby.

“Leave the area immediately, it is too dangerous for you to remain there. Your life could be in grave danger. If you choose to remain, emergency personnel may not be available to assist you,” the CCSO explains.
