    Lana Del Rey receives the marriage license to marry an alligator tour guide

    Lana Del Rey and her rumored alligator tour guide boyfriend are ready to walk down the aisle.

    The “Young and Beautiful” singer and Jeremy Dufrene, an airboat captain from Louisiana, received a marriage license at the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Courts’ office on Sept. 23, USA TODAY confirmed Thursday. The license has not yet been returned.

    The “Tough” crooner and Dufrene, who works for Arthur’s Air Boat Tours, have known each other for several years, since 2019.

    “Jeremy let me be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” she wrote on Facebook in March 2019 alongside a series of pictures in which she threw up a peace sign and he wore camouflage clothing. This May, she tagged Dufrene in the caption of an Instagram post with her brother and sister, writing, “Family with my husband @jeffrey.dufrene.” Dufrene does not appear in the post.

    A TikTok video from August showed the couple seemingly holding hands at the Reading and Leeds Music Festival in England. This month they were also seen in paparazzi photos after leaving a wedding in New York City.

    In Dufrene’s biography on the airboat tours’ official website, the company said he “decided that life in a chemical plant, where he worked seven days a week and caught shrimp on vacation days, was not his calling.” After convincing his family a bit, he got his captain’s license and started hosting tours.

    Dufrene, whom the website described as a “great boat captain,” thought the job was a “good fit” and “had never considered returning to his previous career at the plant.”

    Last year, Del Rey opened up about an ex-love, citing a former partner’s ego and dislike of her home as reasons for the recent split.

    In a Harper’s Bazaar cover story interview published in November 2023, the “Say Yes to Heaven” singer explained how the simplicity of her home acts as an “accidental” litmus test for relationships. She said her ex-boyfriend was one of those who didn’t care.

    “They didn’t understand,” Del Rey told the magazine. “That shocked me. I’m not going to name names and whatever, but that really shocked me, that person. That was actually the end of a relationship.”
