Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky want to marry in court

At least they will “die with a smile.”

Lady Gaga wants a no-frills wedding to her fiancé Michael Polansky – followed by some takeaway food.

“We’re actually talking about going to the courthouse just the two of us and ordering Chinese food,” Gaga, 38, shared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday.

However, the “Poker Face” singer admitted that she could also imagine an extravagant wedding celebration.

“Knowing me, it could be like a circus with unicorns,” she joked.

While they have similar ideas about how they want to tie the knot, Gaga had a different idea than Polansky, 41, about how he would pop the question.

“He proposed to me right after my birthday,” she said. “So my birthday passed and I thought, ‘Well, I thought he was going to do it, but then maybe…'”

The Grammy-winning artist said the tech investor treated her to a “beautiful” birthday dinner and they then went rock climbing – an activity they had previously enjoyed together.

She called their outing “super fun,” to which Jimmy Kimmel asked, “Really? Do you climb rocks?”

“I mean, I do now,” Gaga said with a laugh, before turning to the audience and saying, “I would do anything for love.”

The “Joker: Folie à Deux” actress shared that she and Polansky reached the top of the mountain, took photos, and then climbed back down, after which he decided to ask for her hand in marriage.

“We just went back into the room and were talking and he said…it was very Michael to ask me if he could ask me,” she said. “He wanted to know if it was okay to propose before he proposed to me, and I said, ‘Yes!’ It’s so okay!’”

Gaga said it was “smart” of her boyfriend not to propose at the height of her climbing adventure because it was “safe down there.”

“He had the ring in his backpack, so it was super cute,” she remembers. “He kind of went into his backpack and pulled it out.”

The “A Star Is Born” actress revealed that Polansky didn’t get down on her knees, which she liked because she’s a “modern lady.”

“I like what he did,” she said approvingly.

Polansky proposed to Gaga in April – the same month she was spotted wearing a massive diamond ring on her left hand.

Three months later, she confirmed the speculation when she referred to Polansky as her “fiancé” during her visit to the Paris Olympics.

Gaga revealed in her September Vogue cover story that her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, was the one who arranged the couple.

They hit it off at a party in 2019 and talked on the phone for a few weeks before going on their first date.

From there, they spent quarantine together in Malibu, California during the COVID-19 pandemic – allowing the pop star to truly focus on love.

“It was really special,” she told the magazine. “I have been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of this time was that I was able to focus entirely on my relationship. I met this completely supportive, loving person who wanted to get to know me – outside of Lady Gaga.”

Polansky expressed his gratitude for this time together, adding: “We had this amazing chapter of a strange kind of normality that is essential to the true development of any relationship – taking walks, making coffee, hanging out with the dogs, reading books together. “ .”
