Koei Tecmo plans to continue working on cooperative games

Koei Tecmo Collaborations

For over a decade, a large part of Koei Tecmo’s business has been cooperative games – particularly in the Musou genre. On the Nintendo side, the company worked on Hyrule Warriors, Hyrule Warriors: Age of CalamityFire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. But we’ve also seen many other collaborations, including One Piece, Persona, and more.

While Koei Tecmo’s Latest briefing on financial resultsan investor mentioned that the number of the company’s collaborative games has decreased in recent years. The participant asked if there had been a change in business policy or if it had become more difficult to conclude contracts. However, it seems that everything is as usual.

Koei Tecmo’s full response is as follows:

Our policies and resources remain the same and we will continue cooperation. There have been no particular changes in the business environment, including in the acquisition of new projects.

We do not make any comments or disclosures regarding collaborations with specific partners or the existence of specific collaborative titles in development.
