Kidnappings, confiscations of property, tree felling in occupied Afrin and Azaz

According to the Violent Crimes Documentation Center, mercenaries of the “National Army” linked to the Turkish occupation state kidnapped two brothers, Haitham Ali Ali (41 years old) and Rifaat Ali Ali (36 years old) from Jindires, and their cousin Rifaat Jamo (45 years old) from Brad village in Shirawa. They also kidnapped two brothers, Mansour Ghouthani and Mohammed Ghouthani, originally from Daraa province.

In addition, Turkish mercenaries from the “Sultan Suleiman Shah – Al-Amshat” kidnapped several residents of the village of Qarmatlaq in Afrin province under the pretext that they had not paid the $100 tribute imposed on them.

In a similar incident, a local source reported that Turkish occupation mercenaries in Azaz kidnapped a citizen named Riyad Abdulrahman Hassan (42 years old) from Talaf village southwest of Afrin as he was coming from Aleppo. He was taken to the center of Bulbula city in occupied Afrin.

In addition, a settler from the Qalamoun region sold a house belonging to a citizen named Musa Abu Musa, located near the reservoir in the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood of Afrin, to another settler named Mohammed Al-Issa Abu Zubair from southern Aleppo for $1,300 (as if the house belonged to him), the source said.

In addition, Al-Hamzat mercenaries cut down trees and burned fields near the villages of Fakira in Jindires and Zaraa in Bulbula district of Afrin, destroying thousands of forest trees and woodlands between the villages of Kafr Janna and Matina in the outskirts of Sharran in Afrin.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue their campaign of kidnapping and assault against the inhabitants and the environment of occupied Afrin, with the aim of exerting pressure on them and forcing a demographic change in the region.
