Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has numerous fans across the country, including some well-known celebrities. Hollywood movie star and University of Texas superfan Matthew McConaughey is one of Robinson’s biggest supporters. NBA superstar Kevin Durant is also on the list of the Falcons running back’s admirers.
Like Robinson, Durant is a former Texas Longhorn who was drafted with enormous expectations. The Olympic gold medalist recently expressed his admiration for Robinson during an appearance on “Up & Adams” with NFL analyst Kay Adams. Durant recalled watching Robinson play in Texas and being blown away by his talent.
“He’s just a natural,” Durant said. “He runs the football and it doesn’t even look like he’s running full speed. He just glides out of there. He moves and can stop in a flash. He’s an insane player. He’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen.”

Atlanta drafted Robinson No. 8 in 2023, and despite a solid rookie year, the team failed to make the playoffs. Now, with a new head coach and quarterback to ease the pressure, Robinson is in position to make a big splash in 2024.
Fantasy football fans are probably aware of the hype surrounding Robinson. ESPN ranked Robinson as the No. 2 player behind Christian McCaffrey entering the season.
Given his Marshall Faulk-level skillset and impressive array of weapons on offense, you shouldn’t be surprised to see Robinson’s name mentioned in the MVP discussion (before the league awards this year’s best quarterback).
