Fourth-ranked Louisville volleyball team defeated eleventh-ranked Kentucky in Lexington in the Battle of the Bluegrass in four sets, 25-21, 25-18, 20-25 and 25-16.

Anna DeBeer filled the stat sheet for the Cards on Wednesday night, finishing with 13 kills, 12 digs and three blocks, her team’s best.

The Cardinals have now won their last four games against the Wildcats, but are trailing in the series 37-29.

Louisville defeated Kentucky in the Battle of the Bluegrass in four sets, 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 25-16.

Louisville recorded a season-high 17 blocks in the game. The previous record was 14, set in a win over South Dakota.

Sophomore Reese Robins has 10 kills and a .562 batting average in the game, marking the first time in her career that she has reached double-digit kill totals.

Louisville leads Kentucky 17-8 in the fourth set.

Louisville has pulled away in the fourth set and leads 10-5. DeBeer just scored her 12th kill of the game.

Kentucky scored four service aces and hit a .294 batting average in Set 3 to win 25-20. Brooklyn DeLeye led the Wildcats with 12 kills.

Cardinals outside hitter Charitie Luper fell to the ground in pain, clutching her right ankle after landing on a teammate’s foot during a block attempt.

She limped off the court but returned later in the set when the Cardinals were trailing 17-12.

Louisville hit over .400 in the second set and won 25-18. DeBeer led the team with six kills and hit a .417 batting average.

Louisville leads 18-10 after two consecutive kills by Phekran Kong.

Louisville has seven blocks and leads the second set 13-8.

Cara Cresse scored the kill and won the set for the Cardinals 25-21.

Louisville’s Anna DeBeer hit her first serve ace of the match to give the Cardinals a 23-20 lead.

Kentucky senior Megan Wilson has three kills during the game’s first media timeout, with the Wildcats leading the Cardinals 15-13.

The fourth-ranked Louisville volleyball team will face fifth-ranked Nebraska at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the KFC Yum! Center, and the Cardinals want fans to fill the stadium for the first nationally televised volleyball game on ABC.
