Ken Walker shines after injury

“I’ve never seen a play like this in my life,” said security guard Rayshawn Jenkins. “So hats off to Kenneth. He keeps fighting when he’s out there. He won’t go down easily. And I thought the offense played great tonight.”

Head coach Mike Macdonald added: “I mean we’re talking about one of the guys who’s going to fight to the bitter end. This guy is badass. I mean, the games aren’t over yet. I mean, it’s just that he can do it, the games are designed to do it. “Go into certain gaps and with him he could just go anywhere.” And he runs extremely hard, he cares about moving forward.

Despite being a playmaker in his own right, Walker said the offensive line allowed him to make the plays he made Monday night.

“First, I want to recognize the O-line,” Walker said. “They have performed well and are orders. They made my job of making these plays a lot easier. That’s why I give the O-line a lot or even all of the credit.”

Macdonald added: “Yeah, I felt like the O-line played well, I thought they played well and their running game didn’t really come into its own until the second half, but it felt good. It felt better than ever. So, I’m looking forward to watching the tape and seeing where we’ve improved.
