There is a lot of excitement about Carrie Underwood’s upcoming return to American Idol as a juror. Keith Urban, another former judge, described the “Blown Away” singer the “perfect” choiceand pointed out that she brings a perspective that Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan do not have. Richie agreedand said they didn’t know what it was like to be on stage and he thought their return after 20 years was a “great story”.

No premiere date has been announced yet for American Idol Season 23, but the series usually premieres in February. Given the excitement surrounding Carrie Underwood’s debut, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelly Clarkson is watching TV that day.
