PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – KDKA-TV and the Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday morning the extension of their partnership, which will see KDKA-TV remain the home station of the Pittsburgh Steelers through the 2027 season.

KDKA-TV and KDKA+, in partnership with the Steelers, have exclusive rights to broadcast all preseason games as well as additional programming such as the Steelers Draft Show, Steelers Training Camp Show, Steelers Kickoff Pregame Show, Steelers Extra Point Post Game Show, Steelers Weekly Wrap-up, Mike Tomlin Press Conference and more.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers and bring preseason football to the people of southwestern Pennsylvania,” said Chris Cotugno, president and general manager of KDKA-TV.

“It is a great honor to play a role in one of our region’s proudest traditions, Pittsburgh Steelers football,” said Bob Pompeani, longtime KDKA-TV sports anchor, “and I couldn’t be more excited to continue bringing Steelers preseason games to fans through the 2027 season and hopefully well into the future.”

Pompeani, who has been part of the commentary team since the very first preseason game broadcast on KDKA-TV in 1998, will continue to serve as live commentator. Charlie Batch will join him as co-commentator, Missi Matthews will serve as sideline reporter and pre- and post-game duties will be handled by AJ Ross and Max Starks.

“We are pleased to announce the continuation of our long-standing partnership with KDKA-TV,” said Ryan Huzjak, Steelers vice president of sales and marketing.

“This new agreement allows us to extend our relationship to 29 consecutive seasons and bring preseason games, pre- and post-season shows, and the most comprehensive year-round coverage of the Steelers to our fans across the region.”
