It was a cheeky choice by Disney.

The first episode of “Agatha All Along,” the newest MCU show on Disney+ (now streaming), features one of the few instances of nudity in the MCU.

In one scene, Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) runs around without clothes while her bare butt is visible on screen – which is shocking in the notoriously prudish, buttoned-up world of Marvel.

It is the only butt shot in the 16 years since the MCU launched with “Iron Man” in 2008, aside from a brief shot of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the film “Thor: Love and Thunder” (2022).

“Agatha All Along” executive producer Jac Schaeffer told TV Line on Thursday that Marvel boss Kevin Feige was initially unenthusiastic about the scene, responding, “Really?”

Schaeffer explained that in the original script, Agatha emerges naked from the spell cast by Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and then puts on a bathrobe.

“And Kathryn (Hahn) came to me and said, ‘Would Agatha stop to get a robe…? I have a feeling she would walk out naked,'” he recalled, adding that the actress “was really up for it.”

But, he added, Feige was not interested. However, the Marvel boss ultimately agreed to the project.

“The scene is so character-based. It’s neither exploitative nor sexual,” Schaeffer told the broadcaster.

He added: “It’s about this witch and her priorities. And in that moment, she needs answers and she doesn’t care if she’s naked or not. So yes, it’s a point of pride for us.”

“Agatha All Along” is a spin-off of the MCU series “WandaVision,” which aired in 2021 and starred Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The series followed Wanda and Vision (Bettany) in a suburban life after the events of the 2019 film “Avengers Endgame.”

This series marked the first screen appearance of Agatha Harkness, a witch who posed as Agnes, Wanda’s nosy neighbor.

“Agatha All Along” is the eleventh series in the MCU, which also includes series such as “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” with Wyatt Russell and Anthony Mackie and “Loki” with Tom Hiddleston.

The series picks up where WandaVision left off, with Agatha escaping the suburbs and founding a new coven. Aubrey Plaza also plays a leading role.

“I really like to cackle,” Hahn told the Post.

“I was so glad they let me. I thought, ‘I need to giggle, guys, come on. I know this is exaggerated, but we need a witch who giggles.'”
