Princess Kate was spotted without her wedding ring next to Prince William in a new video.
The Prince and Princess of Wales delighted their royal fans over the weekend when they appeared in a post-Olympic video praising Team Great Britain.
While most viewers were fascinated by the Prince of Wales’s beard, others noticed a surprising detail.
In the short clip, the Princess of Wales showed off another ring alongside her engagement ring, leading viewers to wonder why the Queen no longer wears her wedding ring.

In March, the 42-year-old announced that she would begin preventive chemotherapy.
Oncologist and pharmacist Dazhi Liu claimed this could explain why Kate took off her wedding ring.
She said: “During cancer treatment there are several practical reasons why someone might need to remove their rings.

“Chemotherapy can cause fluid to build up in the hands, which can make rings tight and difficult.”
She further explained to Hello!: “Metal rings could interfere with radiotherapy and cause problems such as burns on the skin around the ring.”
Liu added: “Since patients are at high risk of infection during chemotherapy, removing the rings may help prevent skin infections.”
“Overall, removing rings during cancer treatment may help prevent these potential problems.”

Since Kate is still wearing her sapphire engagement ring and her new special ring, the most likely reason the princess is taking off her wedding ring is because it is getting tighter.
The special ring looks very similar to the engagement ring that Prince William gave to Kate during her time as a student.
Jeweller Steven Stone said: “While she was at university, William gave Kate an engagement ring and, although it is impossible to be certain, recent photographs of the royal couple suggest she may be wearing this sentimental piece again.
“The ring sits on a rose gold Victorian band and features two garnets – Kate’s birthstone – and pearls, representing William’s birthstone for June.”
