The Princess of Wales showed off a new ‘eternity band’ last night and wore an old Ralph Lauren T-shirt as she sent a congratulatory message to Team GB.

The 42-year-old royal appeared alongside the 42-year-old Prince of Wales in a star-studded video shared on the couple’s Instagram yesterday.

For the encouraging video, the mother of three wore a black and white striped top by Ralph Lauren.

The designer top, which originally retailed for £85, has been a staple in Kate’s wardrobe since 2013.

The royal was first spotted wearing the long-sleeved T-shirt while grocery shopping in Anglesey in August 2013 and wore it two months later at an official SportAid charity event at the Olympic Park in London.

In the congratulations video, Kate wore minimal jewelry – opting for a thin silver choker-style necklace and no earrings.

The princess was also seen with a new ring on her wedding ring finger, leading royal fans to speculate that it was an eternity ring.

The thick gold ring appeared to be set with diamonds and sapphires, matching the Queen’s engagement ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.

One commented on the Royal Fashion Police’s Instagram post: “The sapphire anniversary/eternity ring is a beautiful alternative to her engagement ring.”

“Nice to have a ring with a lower profile for casual everyday wear.”

Another added in response: “I think it’s beautiful and probably a more appropriate everyday ring.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this year and marked the occasion with the release of a new black-and-white portrait from their wedding.

The princess was also seen with a new ring on her wedding ring finger, leading royal fans to suspect that it was an eternity ring (pictured).

In the short clip, Prince William stood by her side in the Instagram video, showing off an unusually rugged look with an unshaven appearance.

Kate said: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”

The Prince of Wales, wearing an official blue Team GB top, then added: “Well done Team GB, you have been an inspiration to us all.”

In an accompanying social media post on their account, the royal couple said: “Well done @teamgb what an incredible journey!”

“Every athlete showed tremendous commitment, heart and passion. You made us all so proud!”

“We celebrate every triumph @paris2024 and look forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer.”

Rapper Snoop Dogg, who hosted the Olympic Games for US broadcaster NBC, also appears in the star-studded video.

Former England captain and football icon David Beckham congratulated the British national team, while commentator Gabby Logan said they had “created memories that will last a lifetime”.

Former American sprinter Michael Johnson, who presented for the BBC at the Olympics, wryly said Team GB had done “a good job – although not quite as good as the USA”, while former heptathlon champion and current commentator Jessica Ennis-Hill said: “Well done Team GB”.

In March, the Princess of Wales announced in an emotional video message that she was undergoing cancer treatment and had rarely appeared in public since then.

In June, Kate took part in the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London and recently watched the Wimbledon men’s singles final with Princess Charlotte.

The beaming video of Kate and William came shortly after a heartfelt statement from King Charles III in which he called all Olympians “an inspiration.”

In his message, which came just hours before the final moments of the Olympic Games in the French capital, the monarch congratulated them on their “outstanding achievements” and highlighted their “raw talent, true determination and hard work”.

In the viral video, which has already received more than 450,000 likes, former England captain and football icon David Beckham also sent a message of support.

He said: “Hey Team GB, we are so proud of you, congratulations.”

Presenter Gabby Logan said: “You were incredible. Thank you for everything. These memories will stay with us for a very long time.”

Former American sprinter and sports reporter Michael Johnson said wryly: “Great job Team GB, you did a great job, not quite as good as us in the USA but well done.”

Former Welsh athlete Colin Jackson beamed with joy as he told the Olympians: “You rocked it.”

Presenter Emma Willis said it had been “sensational watching you over the last few weeks”.

Swimmer Rebecca Adlington had high praise for Team GB, saying: “Their performances were absolutely fantastic.”

Former jockey and presenter Clare Balding said: “I know how much you have helped the nation and I just want to thank you for that.”

American rapper Snoop Dogg, who was a popular presence at this year’s Olympic Games as a special guest host for US broadcaster NBC, rounded off the video.

With his trademark smile and easy manner, he said: “Thank you, Great Britain. On behalf of Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his wonderful wife,” before folding his hands and bowing his head.
