The wedding festivities lasted for almost five months (from the pre-wedding party in Jamnagar in March to the wedding in July) and almost every Bollywood star, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, witnessed this grand celebration. However, actress Kangana Ranaut was not present at the wedding. Now, a month and a half after Anant-Radhika’s wedding, Kangana has revealed the reason behind her absence.

Why Kangana Ranaut missed Anant Ambani’s wedding

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana Ranaut claimed that Anant Ambani personally called her to invite her to his wedding. However, she could not come and had already informed Anant Ambani about the reason over the phone. According to Kangana, “I got a call from Anant Ambani and he is a very good boy. He told me, ‘Come to my wedding.’ I said, ‘There is a wedding at my house.’ It was a very auspicious day and my younger brother got married.”

Kangana Ranaut avoids weddings in the film industry

Actress and BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, in the same conversation, also claimed that she generally avoids attending weddings in the film industry. She said, “So, I generally avoid going to a lot of film weddings.”

Kangana Ranaut is busy promoting ‘Emergency’

Kangana Ranaut is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Emergency. In this film, she not only plays the lead role but is also the director and producer. She has made this film under her banner Manikarnika Films. The story of the film revolves around the state of emergency imposed on the country by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the 1970s and Kangana plays the role of Indira Gandhi. Besides Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman and Mahima Chaudhry in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on September 6.
