It seems Kane Brown’s The career continues to go uphill.

The multi-platinum singer-songwriter – who became the first black artist in history to headline and sell out Boston’s historic Fenway Park – has already received multiple CMA, ACM, Billboard, AMA, CMT and People’s Choice Award nominations. Now the musician will be honored with another prestigious award: the Country Champion Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.

The 30-year-old singer of “What Ifs” was chosen as the recipient of the award because of his “passion for service and his groundbreaking contributions to the country music industry and beyond,” according to a press release sent directly to parade.

“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy extends beyond music,” said Jen NealExecutive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, NBCUniversal Entertainment. “His commitment to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspirational and we are thrilled to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”

Last year Wynonna Judd was awarded the same honor. This time, Brown will stand alongside the previously announced 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards winner Miranda Lambertwhich will be awarded the Country Icon Award.

The People’s Choice Country Awards 2024 will be hosted by Shania Twain and is scheduled to air live on NBC and Peacock from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Brown, who recently released the follow-up to his 11th #1 single on country radio, “Miles On It,” with Marshmallowis currently on his “In the Air” stadium headlining tour.
