Kain leads the Blue Devil Men at the Adidas XC Challenge

Cary, North Carolina: – The Duke men’s cross country team competed in the Adidas XC Challenge on Friday night, with Blue Devil Junior Jeremy Cain He accompanies four Duke runners on the 6K course at WakeMed Soccer Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Kain achieved the highest placing for the Blue Devils that evening, reaching 46th place with a time of 19:01.1.
  • PhD student Jack Kovach (59.) and Junior William Skelly (66th) were the next Duke runners to cross the finish line with times of 19:14.8 and 19:20.7 respectively.
  • Riley Newport rounded out the quartet as the sophomore finished 88th with a time of 19:42.1.

Next:

The Blue Devils will compete with a split roster the weekend of October 4, with some team members heading to the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational (Chicago, Illinois) while others make the short trip to Greenville for the ECU Pirate Invitational.
