Jr NTR’s Devara is all set to create box office history. 12 Indian Films That Grossed Rs 100 Million In First Day Collections

Devara: Part 1 is gearing up for a massive world premiere, with early estimates predicting a global gross of around ₹140 crore on the first day, according to industry experts. So far, the film has already collected around Rs 23 crore due to strong pre-orders, showing the huge anticipation of the audience across the world.

Devara: Part 1 will release Jr NTR in the lead role on September 27, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Murali Sharma. Directed by Koratala Siva, who rose to fame for his work on Acharya, the film is produced by Kosaraju Harikrishna and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts.

Devara: Part 1 has been released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada with an aim to achieve a wide reach across diverse audiences. This multilingual release strategy, combined with a strong pre-release, positions the film for record-breaking box office success.

Apart from Devara, Jr NTR will also appear in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for Brahmastra: Part 1, the film is the sequel to the 2019 hit War, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. This highly anticipated project adds to Jr NTR’s growing list of high-profile roles and further cements his position as a leading star in Indian cinema.

Jr NTR’s previous blockbuster, RRR, holds the top spot for highest day-1 collections worldwide with an opening day collection of Rs 223 crore. This impressive figure, reported by sacnilk.com, sets a high bar for Devara: Part 1 to compete with, although the film’s pre-orders and star-studded cast suggest it has the potential to be exceptional to perform well.

Devara scene which took 35 days to shoot

Jr NTR recently shared insights into the making of Devara: Part 1 and revealed the challenges of filming an intense underwater sequence. The scene, which took 35 days to complete, involved a dramatic interaction between the protagonist and a shark. The actor described the shoot as one of the most difficult of his career and emphasized the precision required for underwater action.
