Jon Stewart perfectly illustrates Trump’s nonsensical ramblings

The Daily Show Host Jon Stewart decided to assess some of Donald Trump’s recent interview answers during his monologue on Monday, this time with the help of a prop — in the form of some hilarious diagrams.

Stewart played a clip from a recent interview in which Trump was asked to explain specifically how he would lower prices as the rising cost of living continues to cripple households. Before playing Trump’s response, Stewart pulled out a chart with the Y-axis labeled “Policy Specifics” and the X-axis labeled “Time.”

Stewart held a marker to rate Trump’s performance and allowed the clip to continue playing. Trump immediately dodged the question by insulting Kamala Harris’ interview skills.

“I guess I had the wrong diagram,” Stewart replied. He came out with a new chart, this one with a Y-axis labeled “Huh?”

He marked the first half of Trump’s answer at the top of the question “Huh?” Axis. After playing the second half of Trump’s response, which also failed to offer a coherent plan to combat inflation, Stewart pushed the envelope even higher.

“Maybe he didn’t really want to talk about his inflation policy because economists say it would make inflation worse. That, as you know, is the wrong direction,” Stewart reflected.

“Let’s give Trump a second chance,” he said, playing a separate clip from an appearance at the Economic Club of New York earlier this month in which the former president was asked to explain the “specific bill” he was proposing on child care would bring in more affordable.

This was followed by another interview excerpt in which Trump was asked to explain his stance on IVF.

Trump gave a long, rambling answer in both clips and gave no indication that he had a coherent policy plan on either issue. In fact, his answers were so incoherent that Stewart dropped his “Huh?” diagram and replaced it with a new diagram: “What the hell are you talking about?”

Stewart gave Trump high marks for his new chart, concluding: “Obviously what people don’t like about Donald Trump is his clear, specific policies like they want from Kamala Harris.”

Stewart’s criticism of Trump’s incoherent answers came in response to general criticism from Republicans that Harris did not have detailed policy plans. Stewart had initially responded to these complaints with a montage of Harris explaining her policy proposals at her rallies, such as her promise to “expand the tax deduction for startups to $50,000” and “$6,000 in tax breaks for families in the first year of a year”. the life of a child.”

“Excuse me, but as Americans we demanded a detailed plan of action, not random numbers!” Stewart joked.

He sarcastically told Harris: “You left the door wide open, madam, because obviously Donald Aloysius Trump wouldn’t play with America that way.”
