Jodie Sweetin and Dave Coulier remember their reunion with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Jodie Sweetin and Dave Coulier look back fondly on a bittersweet reunion. Full house Cast divided.

During a panel discussion at 90s Con Florida, Sweetin and Coulier – alongside their former co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber – recalled seeing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at the memorial service for Bob Saget, who died in January 2022 from complications of a traumatic brain injury.

“We saw them at Bob’s memorial service, and that was one of the last times we were all together,” Sweetin, 42, said of the twins, who played little sister Michelle Tanner on the show.

“John (Stamos) has a Dumbo from Disneyland, the attraction, in his house and who doesn’t, right?” Coulier said. “I have this wonderful picture of me, Mary-Kate and Ashley sitting in Dumbo laughing.”

“It was one of my most beautiful moments because it was as if no time had passed, these are my children,” he added.

On May 17, Stamos, 61, shared a photo of the cast reunion in honor of Saget’s 68th birthday. The black-and-white photo on Instagram shows Stamos with the Full house Cast – Mary-Kate, Ashley, Sweetin, Coulier, Cameron Bure and Scott Weinger. In addition to the actors of the show Full house Creator Jeff Franklin was also present.

“Happy birthday, Bob. This was taken as we gathered for his funeral,” the caption began.

“Although Bob was not physically present, his spirit was unmistakably present. He enveloped us in warmth and shared memories that made us both laugh and cry,” Stamos continued.

“That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he had built between us. Bob was the heart of our ‘Full House’ family,” Stamos explained.

He added: “His kindness and compassion were evident in the faces around me (on Dumbo), in the gentle way we supported each other and reflected the love he always showed us. We celebrated a life that was a true gift to all of us.”

Full house was broadcast from 1987 to 1995 and became a huge success. In 2016, Netflix launched a reboot called Fuller house, for which Bure, Sweetin and Barber returned, and the series lasted until 2020, when it ended after five seasons. In 2023, Sweetin and Barber launched a rewatch podcast called How rude, Tanneritos! where they share memories and secrets behind the scenes of the show.

Full house “That was our childhood for eight years, eight very formative years,” Barber told PEOPLE at the time. “And reliving those memories, things we haven’t thought about for 35 years, will probably deepen our bond even more than it already is, I think.”

In an episode in June, they talked about how they remained professional on set, even though everyone was like family.

“We made each other laugh,” said Sweetin. “We had these silly things between Stephanie and Kimmy that we had to do – especially in Fuller house. The forehead is a great place to look when you’re trying to maintain composure.”

“That’s a good trick,” Barber agreed.

Coulier, who played Uncle Joey, also has a Full house rewatch podcast, which started around the same time as his former castmates called Full House recap. For the first episode in July 2023, Coulier sat down with creator Jeff Franklin to look back at the series’ beginnings.

“I remember our first read-through,” Coulier began, as Franklin added, “There was a room full of studio and network executives. I think they were all there to see Stamos.”

Before they knew it, Franklin joked that Sweetin had “stolen the whole thing.”

Coulier then laughed as he recalled Stamos (who played fan crush Uncle Jesse): “And I remember walking out with John. He said, ‘The whole show is about her. We can’t do that!'”

Finally, the two joked that Stamos learned to work with “these really funny kids” who had initially intimidated him.
