JetBlue adds Mint service to this New York route

If you fly with JetBlue this winter, it will soon be easier to reach Big Sky Country in comfort and style.

Starting in mid-February, JetBlue will deploy its Airbus A321 aircraft with the popular Mint business class cabin on flights from Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Bozeman, Montana (BZN). The Mint-equipped aircraft will operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, attracting skiers and snowboarders heading to this popular destination.

The service will be offered during the winter season until March 30, 2025. Tickets are already available on JetBlue’s website. Individual prices for the five-hour flight in the premium cabin start at $900.

“We are excited to introduce our award-winning Mint experience to Bozeman and Big Sky, enhancing the travel experience for our customers flying from Boston and New York,” said Dave Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue, in a statement. “With the launch of Mint and increased frequency of flights on weekends, we aim to provide our customers with best-in-class travel options and make their trip to Bozeman and back an exceptional experience.”

JetBlue offers two types of Mint business class seats. The original design, introduced over a decade ago and used primarily on transcontinental routes, features seats arranged in alternating 2-2 and 1-1 configurations. In 2021, JetBlue revamped its Mint cabin for its European routes, including flights to London, Paris, Dublin and beyond.

For winter service to Bozeman, JetBlue will use aircraft with the “older” Mint business class cabin. However, this seat still offers a premium experience that is far superior to a first class seat on domestic flights. Mint passengers enjoy a completely flat bed with a soft duvet and pillow, a tapas menu from popular New York restaurants, a large 15-inch television screen and more.

This news comes as JetBlue plans to expand its Mint business class seats to other popular domestic routes, a significant departure from its traditional route strategy. The airline has already introduced Mint on its routes from New York to Vancouver and San Juan, and plans to launch Mint service from Boston to Phoenix this fall.
