Jennifer Lopezs documentary The greatest love story never told revealed some personal information that we did not know before, and at some point she told us why she and Ben Affleck separated three days before their planned wedding in 2003.

In The greatest love story never toldbefore their divorce, both JLo And Ben talked about the event and the trigger for their first separation in 2003.

JLo shared in the documentary about the 2003 separation: “Ben and I broke up three days before our wedding. We had planned a big wedding…14 groomsmen and bridesmaids, and three days before we just crumbled under the pressure.”

Ben agreed and added: “If Jen and I have already separated once, the trigger for this was the massive surveillance of our private lives.”

“All those years were really hard because I felt like I had not only lost the love of my life, but also the best friend I’d ever had. And I couldn’t speak for so many years and that was the worst.” Jennifer said.

In an on-screen conversation, the couple said: Ben she asked, “I think in order for us to get over it, we have to forgive, forgive each other. Will you forgive me?” Jennifer then he smiled.

She later said, “That heartbreak put us both on the path to understanding ourselves and becoming better people.”

“Do you think you’ve forgiven me for everything?” he asked, to which she replied, “Yes, I think I’ve forgiven you for everything. I think I need to forgive myself for some things.”
