Jenna Bush Hager is not giving up on her dream of making a romance between Hoda Kotb and Lenny Kravitz come true.

A day after his performance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, where he won the award for Best Rock Video, 60-year-old Kravitz reached the Today Show stage to perform some of his most popular hits, including “I Want to Get Away” and “Fly” featuring Quavo.

While the Citi Concert Series audience was excited to see the rocker perform, Kotb, 60, was seemingly the happiest as she held his hand while waiting for the Today Place.

Bush Hager, 42, later teased Kotb for dressing up in a “cool leather suit with studs” for “Lenny Kravitz Day” while talking about the musician Today with Hoda & Jenna – Months after she joked that she would act as her matchmaker.

“Yes, I am,” Kotb said. “This is new, this little top. I decided that if you put Lenny Kravitz on the court – who, by the way, is the epitome of everything?”

““He’s so nice and very hot,” Bush Hager replied, adding that he was also “talented.”

“He’s hot, he’s nice,” Kotb said. “He has everything. He lives in the Bahamas, he’s barefoot, he makes music, he meditates…”

“I know someone else who meditates and wears leather and doesn’t live in the Bahamas but would like to,” Bush Hager interjected, making Kotb smile and laugh.

Bush Hager brought up the topic again when the two spoke with Kravitz before he performed his song “Paralyzed.”

“Hoda doesn’t always wear leather,” she said, before Kravitz joked, “She thinks she’s casual. I heard her last night! I heard the door open. I was just about to take a nap… and then the light came on in the closet and I was missing a pair of pants this morning.”

After the crowd cheered, Kotb said, “He basically said I snuck in and stole his pants.”

“I know you’re in a new chapter. Are you looking for love?” Bush Hager then asked Kravitz, to which Kravitz replied, “That’s interesting… I mean, always,” before singing, “Love is all there is.”

“Well, I know the lady from the power grid if you want her number. She’s right here,” Bush Hager said.

Kravitz released his latest album, Blue electric lightin May. His tour in support of the album begins in October.
