This dismissal does not concern the mayor’s representative, Jean-Marc Verchère, President of the Loire-Angers Metropolitan Region and Councillor to the Mayor of Angers.

An extraordinary city council ended on September 23 at 6 p.m. in the city council room of the town hall of Angers, after having proceeded to the new elections.

Jean-Marc VERCHERE, Mayor of Angers: “It was with the feeling of having achieved things, but not without emotion, that I had planned to give my mandate to the Prefect of Maine-et-Loire that morning. During my second term as mayor, I was in charge of the policy of our team as attaché, with the sole aim of continuing the transformation and beautification of the city and of looking after its inhabitants. I am sure that our city has experienced exceptional development under the authority of Christophe Béchu.
