Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro tries to put the drama behind him.

After Navarro got into a heated exchange with the band’s frontman Perry Farrell during an onstage brawl, the guitarist apologized on social media and quietly released the band’s latest single.

“Today we released the new song from Jane’s Addiction: True Love. I’m proud of the work we did on this song, but I’m equally sad that you’ll probably never hear it live,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I would also like to publicly apologize to our crew, the Crawlers and their crew and to Love and Rockets and their crew,” Navarro wrote, referring to the bands that were scheduled to open for Jane’s Addiction on the tour.

In his sincere apology, the guitarist further thanked the crew members for being his “travel companions.”

“I am devastated that it ended this way and that so many jobs were lost as a result. May all of our hearts heal together.”

“I am devastated that it ended this way and that so many jobs were lost as a result. May all of our hearts heal together.”

Navarro accompanied his apology on social media with a short lyric video for the song “True Love” by Jane’s Addiction.

His post followed a brawl between band members of Jane’s Addiction on stage last weekend.

In a video recorded and shared on social media, frontman Farrell can be seen hitting guitarist Navarro.

Farrell, 65, forcefully lunged at Navarro, 57, on stage. The guitarist appeared to place his hands on the frontman’s chest, apparently in an attempt to stop him from moving on.

During the tense confrontation, Farrell appeared to yell at Navarro until he punched the guitarist.

Security guards quickly broke up the fight, ordering Farrell to “stop” while detaining him to prevent him from further attacking Navarro.

Navarro grabbed Farrell by the arm and became angry when Farrell tried to attack the guitarist again.

Following the outburst on stage, Jane’s Addiction decided to officially cancel the rest of their tour.

They announced the news in a statement on X.

“To all fans, the band has made the difficult decision to take a break as a group,” the statement reads. “As a result, they will be cancelling the remainder of the tour.”

Fans have been instructed to reclaim their tickets from their point of purchase or the ticket website they used.

Navarro also posted a statement on Instagram about the cancellation.

“Due to an ongoing pattern of behavior and the mental health issues of our lead singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to cancel the current U.S. tour,” he wrote.

“Our concern for his personal health and safety, as well as our own, leaves us no choice. We hope he finds the help he needs,” he said, among other things.

A source told Fox News Digital: “Perry is heartbroken over his actions. He realizes he waited too long to put his well-being first. His exhaustion and the strain it has placed on both his physical and mental health has gone too far.”

They added: “He had the best intentions when he went on tour with the band and feels he has let his fans and family down.”
