Count on Star Jana Duggar, 34, now reveals her next steps, including moving out of her parents’ estate, after she married Stephen Wissman.

The former reality star, the eldest daughter of 19 Duggar children, married Stephen, 31, on Thursday, August 15, two months after their engagement, at The Grand in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Now she will move to Nebraska, where Stephen works and lives near his family; Stephen is one of 13 children.

“It’s great. We worked, he has a little house that we bought, renovated and put together, and that was fun,” said Jana People.

Just recently, Jana took her fans to her own little house on the property of her parents’ house, a one-story building that previously served as a makeshift office building.

“I moved in here a few years ago and over time I’ve just worked on this place and made it a little bit my own,” the businesswoman told viewers of her tiny house, which still stands on the Duggar property.

Now she will demonstrate her craftsmanship skills in her marital home.

Jana married Stephen, a close family friend, in front of 500 guests. Sisters Jessa, Joy-Anna, Johannah, Jinger and Jordyn Duggar served as bridesmaids, along with her sister-in-law Abbie.

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder ivory satin ball gown that she said “felt classy” and made her feel like “a princess.”

Stephen’s family cooked chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and coleslaw for the dinner, which took place after they said their traditional vows and lit a unity candle.

Jana and Stephen met over a decade ago. and were together several years before that. They ended the relationship and remained friends until they entered into a romantic relationship again in early 2024: “It was like, ‘What are we doing? We still enjoy each other. We still value each other very much.'”

Jana was the oldest unmarried Duggar child; Joshua, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Justin, Jedidiah and Jeremiah are all married.

The Duggars are devout, independent Christian Baptists who pride themselves on their conservative views.

They followed the teachings of controversial pastor Bill Gothard, who mandated modesty (no shorts or jeans, only dresses or skirts) and courtship guidelines that prohibited frontal hugging and kissing before marriage.

The founder of the Institute in Basic Life Principles also promoted ideals of male superiority and female obedience and discouraged listening to “syncopated music,” including Christian rock.
