Reality TV star Jana Duggar leaves her home state of Arkansas to start a new life with her husband Stephen Wissman In Nebraskabetrayed her.

Just days after the 34-year-old Counting On star married her longtime boyfriend in a lavish ceremony in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, she is now tackling another major milestone in her life: she is leaving her apartment and moving to start a new life as a married woman.

In an interview with People, Duggar, one of the oldest Jim-Bob And Michelle Duggars brood of 19 children – announced that she and Wissmann have purchased a house that they are currently transforming into the perfect family home.

“He has a little house that we bought and we renovated and fixed up, it was fun,” she said.

According to property records, this “little house” is actually a lovely 2,100-square-foot home that Wissmann purchased for $275,000 in June 2023, before he and Duggar were even engaged.

Located in northwest Lincoln, the affordable ranch-style home is completely finished. The main living room has glossy floors and two bright windows and flows into the dining area and open kitchen.

There are three bedrooms conveniently located on the first level, while the other two are in the basement, along with a recreation room and a second bath. The yard is fully fenced, so kids and pets can run around safely. There is also a huge storage shed and a two-car garage.

The property pales in comparison to the massive home Duggar and her family showcased to the world in their reality show series, which began in September 2008 and ran for seven years. The shows were suspended and eventually canceled following allegations of sexual harassment by her brother Josh.

Still, Duggar and some of her siblings remained in the spotlight for several years, hosting their own version of the TLC show called “Counting On.”

Duggar’s move out of her parents’ home represents an important step for the 34-year-old, who until recently remained closely connected to her parents’ lives, even as her other siblings cut ties with them.

However, she is not the only member of her family who has made some serious real estate transactions in recent weeks.

In August, Duggar’s younger sibling Joy Anna26, and her husband, Austin Forsythlisted their Arkansas home for sale for $369,000 after purchasing it in 2016.

Now 30 years old Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo spent $1.9 million to buy their Southern California rental home, five years after moving to the Golden State.

Now it’s Jana’s turn. She and Wissmann married in a spectacular ceremony in front of 500 guests, just two months after announcing their engagement.

Speaking to People, the newlywed explained that the couple was able to move their relationship forward so quickly because they had been friends for so long before the romance began.

“It was like, ‘What do we do? We still enjoy each other. We still value each other very much,'” she told the publication. “I haven’t always understood what the big picture is, but I know that God knows what’s best for all of us. And that’s why, for me, getting married later is.”

A month before her wedding to Wissmann, Duggar announced in a YouTube video that she had finally moved out of her parents’ home in Arkansas and was instead living in a “tiny house” on the property that she had just renovated.

And while some potential suitors might have been intimidated by Duggar’s large family, Wissmann is used to being surrounded by siblings, having grown up with 12 brothers and sisters himself.
