It’s unusually hot at the moment, but maybe we can cut a few degrees next week

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS
  • Hot and humid again on Friday, heat index in some places up to 105°

  • Temperatures around 35 degrees will continue over the weekend

  • *Slightly* lower temperatures next week, very limited chance of rain

FORECAST

After another hot and summery afternoon, evening plans begin with a pleasant warmth. Temperatures gradually drop to below 30 degrees and above 25 degrees after sunset and feel even warmer thanks to the humidity.

More of the same is expected on Friday. Highs will be in the 90s to 100s in the San Antonio area, but in many places they will feel more like 100s to 105s. Be careful! Expect another hot start to Friday night’s football games.

Another summer afternoon is expected with highs around 35 degrees, with temperatures in San Antonio feeling like triple digits.

As the high pressure system continues to hold sway over the next few days, temperatures will remain above 35 degrees through next weekend. A slight drop in humidity in the afternoon could bring heat indices down a bit compared to today, but it will still be unusually hot for any weekend plans.

As the high pressure system begins to ease a bit, a slight change in the pattern early next week could bring additional clouds into the forecast, which would also help lower our afternoon highs (below 35 degrees) by a few degrees. The chance of rain is looking pretty low, with Monday’s forecast currently at just 10-20%. It’s still warmer than average to usher in the official start of fall, but we’ll keep an eye on it!

7-day forecast as of 19.09.24.
