It will continue to rain tonight and on Sunday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Peyton Sanders says showers and thunderstorms will continue across the state tonight and Sunday.

Widespread rain and thunderstorms will continue across the state this evening and tonight. The overall risk of severe weather remains low.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue on Sunday, especially in the morning. Activity will gradually taper off in the evening as the storm system moves east of Kansas.

In addition to the rain, another major problem will be the significantly cooler temperatures behind a strong cold front. Afternoon temperatures will only be between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius across the state.

The rain will stop on Sunday night, but cooler weather will persist on Monday with maximum temperatures between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius.

The mild weather is expected to continue throughout the week and maximum temperatures will remain above 21 degrees until next weekend.
