The book “It Ends With Us” was published in 2016 and the author Colleen Hoover released the sequel, It Starts With Us, in October 2022, following the success of the first book during the pandemic thanks to BookTok.

Justin was asked if he plans to play a dual role again for a sequel, if one is made.

“You’ll have to ask me that soon. We’ll go on holiday afterwards,” he said Entertainment tonight.

He added: “I think there are better people for this. I think Blake Lively is ready to direct. That’s what I think.”

Colleen responded to Justin‘s comments shortly after he made them. She said she would be “absolutely” interested in Blake Direct.

“I had the best time working with everyone on this film. I think whoever decides to direct the next one will do it justice. I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that’s going to be exciting. But it’s a lot of people getting the same schedules together again, so we’ll see,” she said ET.
