Just a few days ago we heard that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could launch in October and now we have another indication that this mid-range device will be launching sooner rather than later.
According to 91mobiles, the Galaxy S24 FE has gone through the certification process with the Buearu of Indian Standards (BIS), a mandatory step for devices before they are sold to consumers in the country.
The product number used in the BIS application is the same one we saw on a support page on Samsung’s own website. It seems that all preparations are being made for the launch of this cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S24.
If you’re not familiar with the FE (Fan Edition) series, that’s the name Samsung uses for cheaper versions of its flagships. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launched in October 2023, so we’re getting closer to the time when a successor is due.
The rumors so far
Good morning #FutureSquad! Here’s finally your very first look at the #Samsung #GalaxyS24FE (360° video + razor-sharp 5K renders + dimensions)!😏 On behalf of @GizNext 👉🏻 https://t.co/eZy8FYdRmI pic.twitter.com/kDeSi1GIxFJune 15, 2024
We’ve already heard a lot of rumors about the Galaxy S24 FE. It’s said to have a larger battery and a brighter display compared to the Galaxy S23 FE model, which would be two worthwhile upgrades.
However, it has also been rumored that the camera settings of the new phone will be exactly the same as the current model, so don’t expect any major improvements in photo and video recording features.
An October 2024 launch has already been mentioned and would fit into last year’s schedule. We actually didn’t get a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE – perhaps because the Galaxy S21 FE came out quite late in January 2022.
We’ve even seen leaked renders showing what the Galaxy S24 FE will look like, and it looks like there will be multiple colors to choose from. As soon as Samsung makes any of this official, we’ll let you know.
